Missionaries who died in a plane crash (see Death of Lydia's Birth Parents) in Papua New Guinea leaving Lydia to be adopted, amongst her paperwork they left a note asking her parents to contact Lord Brennan from the Matrix Chambers if anything strange happened. Her mother was Garou and a member of The Guild and frequent user of the services of the Matrix Chambers, which suggests her father was perhaps Kinfolk but could have just been a mundane human.
At least one of them seemed to be working for SIS/MI6 and perhaps also missionaries it is unclear.
They left Lydia a trust fund of £100k in care of the Matrix Chambers.
