(In which the Pack awakes at the Alpha Games warehouse with the Stargazers gone, Carlie tries to tow the car away, then tries to get the Daganum Deadbeats to help tow it, then calls Derek Watford to get it melted down, eventually Sunny pee's on Lydia's shoes and Ariane tries to distract her, then Sanjeev pulls Carlie outside and stabs a spirit on her shoulder that is giving her geas power. Also Jules kisses Liz, they walk back to her flat to check in on Twiggy the young depressed Dryad)

Everyone starts to wake up at the Alpha Games warehouse, the two Stargazers (Laurent and Sebastian) are gone. Lydia and Ariane awake first, their phones say about 2.5 weeks (17-18 days) have passed it is now September 2020. We wake everyone up. Turns out someone transferred Lydia to bank staff, Holly however has lost her job, but has an offer of a new job from The Guild. Jules will be expected to go back to in person teaching and her supervisor wants 5 fully done pieces (she has a lot of sketches and ideas from her summer but nothing solid) in 2 weeks.

The car is bullet ridden, suspension is wrecked. Carlie insists it needs melting, there is bickering, Holly notices some kind of spirit effect but is unable to work out what's going on. Carlie leaves in a huff with Lydia and Sunny to follow, everyone else (Holly, Jules, Liz, and Ariane) back to the Pack House.

Carlie and co fetch her car, drive it back to the warehouse, attach a tow hitch and try to drag it away, there is a screaming noise as it scrapes across the floor. Lydia suggests getting the Daganum Deadbeats and Carlie gets Holly to contact Sanjeev who wants a curry tomorrow night for the story. At this point the geas hits Carlie and she realises she needs Derek Watford to be the one to melt it down, she texts Jules to get an okay for this, when she does talk to Watford he tells her to take it to a scrappy to recycle because he doesn't know how to melt a car and that's the legal process. Lydia suggests giving him a blowtorch to just melt a chunk of bumper and see if that will help Carlie, who she also checks over for concussion or something else that may be causing strange feelings or compulsions.

Bill Stone arrives with the Deadbeats tow truck, suggests getting Sanjeev to help with Carlie's compulsions, they get Carlie to call Holly at least and explain the situation as she's the resident theurge. Carlie also tells the Deadbeats that Lydia punched Derek Watford. At the call Ariane and Holly leave the Pack House (thus getting Jules and Liz alone) and take wolf form to run to the werehouse. Bill also informs everyone that The Guild has no ragabash and Carlie feels this explains a lot. There's an argument about demon possession, Ariane suggests that Carlie should be careful lest she experience a "heroic doom". Lydia prays for Carlie to try and remove demons and it escalates to the point where Sunny threatens to urinate on her shoes, then does.

Sanjeev chats about events and Carlie attempts to justify killing someone by saying "That jackass needed stabbing". He then does some sort of ritual and Holly and Carlie see a visible spirit, a strange whispering spirit that sits on her shoulder, he tells them its the manifestation of her geas that is spiritually enforcing the deal (Carlie is still confused why she had to stab the guy). He asks Ariane for her sword but she doesn't have it so asks her to distract people and she tries to get Lydia talking about Catholics as Sanjeev gets Carlie outside then stabs the air just over her shoulder with a silvered dagger (the silvering goes black and will need to be replaced), and with a flinch from Carlie and a shriek from the spirit it dies and the compulsions lift from Carlie

Sunny chats to Sanjeev about coming to help with the cooking and she's invited along to help out tomorrow for the Bone Gnawers curry as otherwise H&S will bar her. Bill and Sanjeev load the car and the Deadbeats ride out into the night.

Meanwhile! At the Pack house, Jules kisses Liz, who reacts by saying that was nice but like, not now, she's just been through a giant magical hell scape and still failed to find The Spire which she was actually looking for. She then panics about Twiggy gets no answer and worries, she is apparently a chronically depressed Dryad. Jules walks her home, she seems variable and stressed, perhaps traumatised. Once they get back to Liz's flat they find leaves spelling out a note ("In memorandum Sun Wang-Li") and Twiggy is there looking like a youngish human made of wood, who rushes forward to hug Liz, her leaves are brown from being inside so she's sent out to get some sun.
