Summary of Events

2020-10-26

Plan to go looking for missing homeless people, Sunny finally sasses the pack back in First Tongue. Holly stays at the house as mission control pack goes out looking for clues. At St. Mungos we meet Sally the chef and old Bill and James, told most are being kept in a hotel by the Met, ask about Charlie and James tells us he "went walking", suggested Tesco's. The Met come in and break up the gathering. At Tesco's we meet Jimmy's Aunt who tells us Charlie and Czech Pete both accepting acting jobs and we should talk to Jimmy the Drug Dealer for more.

Meanwhile at London Bridge Juliana see a kid and an Old Lady being moved into a van by the council and police, she distracts them and leads them into a chase, Carlie arrives and joins in the distraction where Juliana intimidates the cops, gets peppersprayed and frenzies a bit. A terrorist incident is declared, Juliana slips out as a wolf, Lydia and Ariane try and talk there way in, and Carlie rescues the old lady who leads her via a tunnel and mentions The True Londoners.

2020-11-02

Team finds the terrorist incident video is full of glitches once its online, check the van, it belongs to the council, hear Amil Mamood was arrested for the incident. Sunny smells cops in a car outside the house. Jules, Lydia, and Sunny go to see Jimmy the Drug Dealer, where Lydia chats to Jimmy's Mum who is a member of the same church. She warned him off the "acting" job. He goes for a walk and Jules plays sympathic person, smokes and learns of the Guy in the Top Hat, buys a location for £20, Old Community Theatre Company.

Meanwhile Inspector Derek Watford delivers DVDs of the raw footage of "terrorist incident", Holly confirms with Millwall Pack that Watford is a Glass Walker and Met liason to werewolves. We call him and he tells us he'll cover up this one free but afterwards will feed us to the Grandese of London and have us imprisioned for antiterror offences. Tell him about missing people and arrange a meeting at The British Museum. At the BM we share information, he tells us about The Guild which is his pack of Glasswalkers, and the other packs (see list). Hear about Keepers of the British Museum who maintain it as neutral territory. The Bishop of Southwark is the mage/mythic liason, there is an Art Dealer and Information Broker who is liason to Vampires. Sunny meanwhile prowled, licked an old Egyptian monument and is chased by a 12ft tall Gargoyle

2020-11-09

Find that the Old Community Theatre Company is based out of the Oxo Tower on south bank, get the name Ben Valis as the contact for the theatre. Send Holly, Carlie, Ariane, and Jules in via the Umbra. Lydia and Sunny wait in the real where they meet some cops who are investigating reports of youths (us) in the area.. In the umbra the area has a nest of bright cables, tiny Pattern Spiders, the Oxo Tower is a mix of performance spaces and old meat processing still, smells heavily of rotting, there are spirits of security systems watching us, step out via the Oxo Tower Dance Studio. Seach the theatre, find Ben Valis is head, find a script for My Life on the Streets as well as posters for it and the smell of the Wyrm. We hear someone coming and mostly slip out. Outside the team reunites for chips at the Newington Chip Shop and leaves Jules and Sunny on guard, they see a Lady in her 50s, a silver necklace, slight wyrm scent go in, follow and pick up her copy of the script for My Life on the Streets.

2020-11-16

Ariane and Holly get weird dreams, and the next day they the Pack reads the script and its very dull (2 families (butterman and aristocrats) of a father/son pair. the sons want to marry unsuitably, the fathers break it off, the sons go away to the big city and the aristocrat-son dies, both fathers welcome the buttermans son back in and help his marriage go well), there are attempts to modernise it, using Vienna then Mogadishu as the site of love, its a rip off of Our Boys by the playwright Byron. It is needlessly detailed, like a ritual script. We discover that Ben Valis Q.C. is the son of Ben Valis Q.C. etc, 4 generations, each retires for a few years before a new one appears. Lydia finds the Southwark hotel where the homeless population is being housed. Holly catches Bell up on things and watches Eastenders, finds events almost mirror our Umbra fight (Ian Beale kidnaps a girl and hides her in the Queen Vic basement, there's a girl gang).

Meeting at the British Museum with Derek Watford, he gives us to the Old Community Theatre Company file, we give him the background on Ben Valis and he gives us a file on the original (1843-1878, involved in murder cases), unsure if Vampire, told about The Mother a powerful docklands vampire who died, which has made the vampires less coordinated but still unenthusiastic about repenting.

2020-11-30

The Pack watches the Eastenders finale where an unknown girl gang murders the Mitchell Brothers for undefined crimes, twitter has rapid rumours of refilming in the past few days. Debate celestial mechanics, the garden of eden, heaven, etc. Sunny and Jules flee and Sunny teaches her how to beg.

Pack to the Hotel thats being used to house the homeless population, Lydia gets in via bibles and talks to Danny who wants a book of English history to study for citizenship, knew Charlie and Mohammed Asalam says they must be living somewhere as actors. Holly goes in via the Umbra, finds Spirit Cats guarding some rooms where people are doing badly (Lydias guesses).

Meanwhile a team breaks into Ben Valis's House, its Georgian, ancient, looks like a set piece Umbra is identical, there is a thing moving around, we find Wyrm scent and a glowing pentagram.

2020-12-09

Carlie tries to break the pentagram almost pulled in and saved by Jules, felt like a hand in a rubber glove, Ariane scratches it out of existence and everything in the rest of the house starts turning to dust.

Pack goes to the Hotel, Lydia goes in in person, rest in Umbra, finds two guys arguing, one white, one Arabic she breaks it up, she talks to the Arabic guy and reassures him, offers a Johns Gospel and the Umbra team see his door clear up/cat vanish. Meanwhile a black beady eyed tentacled spirit that smells of the Wyrm is active in the other guys room, Sunny smells/hears him prepping a gun and the Umbra team shapeshifts and dogpiles the spirit version while Lydia tries to talk down the guy who's being partly possessed by it, as they kill the spirit the guy passes out, and the police arrive. We dogpile a second and knock someone else out, Lydia rescues him and helps the police move the unconscious people out - the spirit world cleans up a little and hopefully between RL+Umbra we've stabalised the hotel a little.

2020-12-14

Derek Watford arrives at the Hotel, gets a statement from Lydia, then comes to talk to the Pack around the corner, tells us some people have latent spirit connection, if very depressed/angry spontaineously form spirit reflections of that. Pack goes to Lee Ho Fooks, bickers, a person who smells of burning electronics/ozone comes in, tells us he's "spiritual" but cursed by god a little. Clearly clocks us as werewolve and uses archaic language.

Pack goes to Ben Valis's house, Carlie jimmies the window and we get in, glow is back under the door, we open it, bounce of a magic barrier a few times, then when we get in and try to break the pentagram a demon begins forms in the real world. Sunny, Ariane, Lydia sucked into Hellscape and Carlie and Jules arm themselves in the real.

2021-01-04

Holly chilling in the Umbra chatting to a spirit who identifies her as a philadox of The Folk, hears that some spirits have vanished lately, taken along the river with a Boatman who speaks with 30-40 overlapping similar voices, pays with coins. Taken to see bodies of two dead spirits, scent of wyrm, torsos clawed out.

Meanwhile in Ben Valis's House there is a two part fight, Jules and Carlie armed with black and white handled magic knives, in the Hellscape Ariane breaks the tip of her sword in the fight. The two groups together eventually defeat both "halves" of the demon leaving a demon seal that Carlie stabs with the black handled knife making it smoke/ash. Holly follows the smokey ichor trail to Ben Valis's house and finds the tunnel/portal connecting the pentagram in the study with Hell, enters the Hellscape where she can see a body. Team reunites in the physical with the body of a runaway kid who was with the old lady. Jules and Sunny escort and injured Lydia home in the Umbra and shes sad she didn't get martyred.

2021-01-11

Holly, Carlie, and Ariane rob the house finding many volumes (71-85) of Ben Valis's Diary, pictures, magical text books. There is a cell in the basement recently used to contain the boy and a bricked up archway. The Pack regathers, Lydia calls Derek Watford. Tarquin Primrose-Morton calls to tell Lydia to become alpha and offering to give Watford a leg up if he's useful. The Pack bickers about the concept of Alphas.

The next morning Derek Watford comes for breakfast, tells us Ben Valis is a mage, we can safely kill him, he'll make sure to contaminate the crime scene to hide us, and other packs are watching to see how we handle Valis. Team does a research montage and discovers MPD (Mythic publishers) where Mythic basically means mage. Find out about magipol (the magical police who rely on "guilds" of mercenaries getting rewards), and finds a Demonica Primer which gives instructions for summoning/binding demons and a template contract, 2 ways to destroy them:

1. Destroy the physical form 2. Kill the "contractor" who summoned them.

We read a Primer on Arcana which is about creating spells with sigils. Read Valis's diary which includes his plan to use play as a resurrection, we guess he wants to run it at Easter at the Theatre Royal, uses 3 vessels/sacrifices, notes he's been found and kills boy to summon Demon to protect the house. Talks of a lock up in the east end somewhere. Discover that you need The Knack to make magic work, there's an example Arcana of ignis which creates an object you can trip light on with a word. The plan of kidnapping Bow Bell was to offer her to the True Fae as part of a deal. He refers to his son Alan Valis who died.

Derek Watford texts Lydia that Ben Valis is on Magipol's most wanted, was last seen in Washington D.C. in 1943.

2021-01-18

Jules tries and fails several times to make Ignem (needs Size 1 Arcana Circle which is 9ft wide). Lydia burns the Demonica Primer at 3am, waking Sunny in the process and tries to bribe her with a biscuit. Carlie gets burnt putting the bin out. A firefighter comes to the door to check after the alarm goes off, puts it out with a proper extinguisher and leaves. The pack bickers a lot about trust for Lydia, eventually Jules growls at everyone to sleep and Sunny ducks out

2021-01-25

Derek Watford comes to check on us and chats to Sunny about last night. The Pack convinces Lydia not to move out, there is talk of faith and the dangers of burns vs. hell. Carlie advocates learning more to fight demons, talk of trust between Pack, and the power of miraculous healing/casting out of demons. Ariane mentions the Prophecy of the Phoenix and catches shit from Carlie as well. Eventually form a plan: Track the warehouse down.

Ariane and Lydia find a false lead of some wyrm scent on the Isle of Dogs, rest of the Pack finds the actual Warehouse with a giant magic circle and cages with people in, something moving around inside. Jules arranges a raid.

2021-02-01

The warehouse raid: Sunny and Holly try to distract the guard with a boomstick, Jules and Carlie goe in via the roof, the guard - Carl Rodrigos - avoids dogs and goes back as Jules drops onto the ritual circle noisily. The Pack dogpiles him, takes away his magic wand (Sharpy), turns out he can throw lightning. Hits Ariane (a little) and Lydia (more). We interrogate Carl who's a rogue mythic who works for outlaw demonicas, less than 5 like him in London. Get Carl to call Ben Valis to tell him the kids have Covid, he simply tells Carl that his services are no longer required and hangs up.

2021-02-08

Derek Watford lets us know teams of Mythic bounty hunters are coming into town to get the bounty on Ben Valis's head, the police are uncovering the tunnel tomorow. We find that Ben Valis is looking for Lydia via a contact in social services because she was looking into the kids at the Hotel. She calls him to arrange a meeting in Hampstead Heath for Friday at 9pm.

In the meantime: Research his diaries - find he was part of the British ex-pat Mythics who lived in Washington D.C. hung out with David Vasiry a "learned gentleman" and alchemist (who's been doing the coming back as his own son thing, we find records for ones aged 96, 51, and 27), who came back to London with him in the 50s/60s. Ben Valis's diaries became more stiff and rigid over time. Jules attempts more magic and gets success at making Ignem. Holly does a bunch of Rite of Talismen Dedication for people to at least have some clothes. Lydia has some hard shifts but delivers some Shakespere to the Hotel, they're doing Midsummer Nights Dream. Derek Watford brings us Beef Chow Mein, tells us about the raid on Ben Valis's house - 8-9 skeletons through a hole in the wall, young males, police think he's a serial killer and are hunting for him. Also he had a prepared bedroom for his son in Edwardian Style.

Friday at Hampstead Heath: Lydia meets him by an entrance with his horse Jet. He doesn't know what a jammy dodger is or what is "online", thinks he's godly and christian, says Lydia reminds him of his dead wife (also a lawyer). She talks about the demons and urges repentance, he seems hesitant, and the rest of the Pack dogpiles him, he says "zaithanus voicha" or similar while holding a silver pendant to summon a demon but we murder him before he materialises, even with his magic shield, this includes Lydia holding him down granting him repentance as we claw/stab/bite him and eventually Jules rips his head off. His body glows red and the demon goes into it and burns it into ash. Jules, Lydia, and Ariane lose it and run off into the park hunting. Carlie takes the head, Holly sweeps up the evidence.

2021-02-15

Jules, Ariane, and Lydia probably killed Jet the Horse but the newspapers pin it as "Pagan Ritual Gone Wrong", they head home in the umbra, bicker about showering, bicker about the fact that Carlie has put the head in the fridge, and Sunny says we're rude for not inviting her to a meal. Lydia justifies murder as spirtual warfare (Thomas Aquinas), Holly calls Watford who comes, boxes the head and arranges a meeting with Agent John Hadrian of MagiPol. We hear the money is ~$200k/£143k and we teach Sunny about the scale of cash.

At the British Museum we meeting Agent John Hadrian, who knows about the Christian Police Association already, tells us Valis was killing teenage boys in Washington D.C. to try for the ritual in the 40s and was chased out of town. Jules shows him the magic circle from the warehouse, he tells us the silver locket was for holding a demon, refers to the place we went to as "Hellscape", we reveal we're werewolves which wigs him apparently over in the US the mythics treat garou as less than human. We do get contact details for MPD via the US Embassy if we need them again. Derek Watford tries to recruit Jules into the Shadow Lords because it could be good as they really run things (unlike the Silver Fangs and Glass Walkers who just think they do). Holly gets tailed in the Umbra but ditches it at London Bridge. Ariane arranges the cash transfers and is in a huff about the US attitudes to Garou, Lydia defaces the remaining magical locket/amulet thing.

2021-02-22

It's Pack Challenge for Alpha Week! Woo! Carlie and Sunny setting/judging trials, everyone else in the running. Starts with Lupus tracking task, we meet Diamond Annie, then we do a Hispo test of strength in a harness, Glabro beep test for stamina sprinting, homid trial is getting blessings from a fresh Bell. Lydia plays her cello for a local methodist church is good and blessed so her music is heard across Southwark. Holly goes to see who needs help at Bell, sent to The Bell of St. George the Martyr, who's bored so offers entertaining stories of The Pack, is geiven a hint of a Smith on Market Street who can repair Ariane's sword. Ariane goes to St. Paul's Cathedral with Dianic offerings (bread, fruit, fabric), there are draconic guardian creatures, she doesn't get in, leaves offerings at the fence and gives an impassioned dedication, given a blessing of speed and uses it to run past the 13 Dragons of City of London. Jules goes hunting for odd bells, sees that Elizabeth Tower/Big Ben is free of Pattern Spiders unlike rest of Palace of Westminster, is checked by Beefeaters in case of being a traitor, talks to Big Ben spirit of all the nations bells, given a mission to destroy a Wyrm nest (factory in south Southwark) and told we will be made aware of Wyrm Spirits entering our territory. Finally the crinos challenge is being explained when Diamond Annie, Melinda, and an unnamed member of the Forty Elephants (Black Furies biker gang of thieves) arrive, reveal they robbed our laptops and stuff from the house and we'll have to fight them to get it back - so we do, they're clearly pulling blows and testing us, meanwhile Sunny sneaks around the back and robs the bikes of our stuff.

Jules is declared the winner and Pack Alpha (and the best!)! and Diamond Annie regales us with the tales of the Forty Elephants.
